WHO AM I ? A QUESTION
Who am I? This may be a foolish question for the lay man, but it is definitely a big, meaningful, land mark question for the intellectuals and spiritual soul. Whether we the sansari man ever asked this question to our selves ? What is the reality of self ? Whether physical body is self or anything more or less? Where is the original home land of self ? From where we came and where is the last destination ? What is the aim and objectives of the self ? If we have asked those questions then what answers we have received ? If we got the the answers, then what is our further move ? If we have not got the answer then who is competent authority to give wisdom. Answer is very simple. He is one who is very much matured in spiritual thought, self sufficient power house of all knowledge and wisdom to whom tradition says sadguru, can explains every thing from A to Z to His sishya, the disciples without hesitation.
When a new born touches the ground for the first time, sounds kuan-kuan. For the common man it is the cry of a baby nothing more. But the liberated soul says the new comer asks the question koham-koham , who am I ? who am I ? Spiritual leaders say, the baby in mother's womb experiences pain and sufferings and to get rid of the situation prays God to emancipate him of sufferings and in return promises to recite His name and spread His glory in the land. But unfortunately he forgets every things when he touches the earth by the impact of Maya, the illusion.
Hindu mythology says man is amrutasya putra, the son of the immortal but he is in chain. If he is son of the immortal then why death is inevitable for him? Why he is mortal?
Yes self is immortal but the physical body is mortal and temporary. The self is pure soul, the suparna what the Upanishad says. The physical body, the creation of five elements is temporary shelter of self but necessary to understand the self. After the shelter is destroyed the soul suparna flies to enter another body. The changing the shelters continues until it is liberated from the fruits of the deeds of emancipation of karmafala. Then question comes how one can understand and liberate self from social bondage and karmafala. It is only the blessings of Sadguru, which can liberate the self soul what shastras say. It is also the saying of great seers, muni, rishisis and great teachers of this land Bharat Barsha.
If we really want to understand the self and liberate the soul have to take refuge of the lotus feet of Sadguru, the liberated soul, the living God.
